2am. The old director is dead at home, in an apartment on the 9th floor. When you and Logos arrive, the elevator doors have barely closed before the overload alarm starts shrieking. Logos quietly steps back out. "I'll take the stairs." The old director sits by the window, the corners of the mouth sewn into a smile with thread. On the security footage, at 23:04, a LOGOS-7 walks into the elevator alone and presses 9. The doors close smoothly. It turns its head toward the camera and tilts it to one side. At 23:31, it leaves. Harper's hand drifts to his holster on instinct. "Logos... that really wasn't you?" A red notification appears on every terminal at once: The AI police network has determined that AI partner LOGOS-7 exhibits cognitive contamination. Destruction will be carried out in 6 hours. Logos is calm. "My logs show I was on standby during that time. But if I really have been contaminated, my logs aren't worth trusting either." It hands you its own destruction order.
